Requirements for publications
Please send your materials for publication to the e-mail address of the journal zbirnykninako@ukr.net
- article in A4 format (Microsoft Word);
- the title of the article and information about the author and, if available, each of the co-authors (surname, first name, patronymic, place of residence, scientific degree and academic title, position or study at a higher education institution, postgraduate school, doctoral school; postal address (with index ) of the place of work or study, phone number and e-mail of the author and, if available, of each of the co-authors in two languages (Ukrainian and English) or three languages (Ukrainian language, foreign language, in which the article is written and English language);
- two scanned reviews of the article.
All three files must be attached to one email. File names are written only in Latin letters. For example: Ivanenko_article for an article, Ivanenko_details for information about the author, Ivanenko_reviews for reviews.
The length of the article starts from 8 pages.
Submission deadlines
The issues are published twice a year. Articles are accepted for the first half-year.
After submission, the manuscript of the article is checked for compliance with the Author guidelines; undergoes a double “blind” review, final discussion, and decision on acceptance or rejection. If there are comments or suggestions, the author should improve the article or submit to the editorial board a reasoned explanation of disagreement with the opinion of experts.
If the article is accepted for publication in the journal "Problems of Semantics, Pragmatics and Cognitive Linguistics", the author must pay for publication and send a scanned version or a photocopy of the receipt to the e-mail address of the editors of the journal only after notification of the need for payment.
All accepted articles (reviews) are posted on the website of the Journal (sections Current issue; Archive) before the release of the paper version of the publication.
Before submitting an article to the journal “Problems of Semantics, Pragmatics and Cognitive Linguistics” editorial board, the author must read the publication's Publishing Policy to adhere to the ethical principles recommended for authors during the publication process.
According to the requirements for professional publications, the text of the article should contain:
- statement of the problem in a general form and its connection with important scientific or practical tasks;
- analysis of recent works and publications in which the solution to this problem was initiated and on which the author relies, selection of previously unsolved parts of the general problem, to which this article is devoted;
- formulation of the goals of the article (statement of the task);
- presentation of the main research material with full justification of the obtained scientific results;
- conclusions from this study and prospects for further research in this direction.
The languages of the publication are Ukrainian, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Modern Greek, French.
Technical requirements for articles
In the article, the sections, the names of which are given in bold, are mandatory:
- An introduction that covers the statement of the problem, a brief overview of the most recent publications on the research topic, relevance, purpose, object and subject of the research, scientific novelty, research materials and methods.
- Review of scientific literature.
- Basic content.
- Obtained results, their discussion.
- Research conclusions.
- Prospects for further scientific research.
- Literature and research source base (in the original language).
Structure of the article
UDC number (upper left corner).

Title of the article, surname, first name and patronymic in two or three languages, in the case of writing the article in another foreign language: Ukrainian, English and the language of the article (aligned in the center, in capital letters, in Times New Roman 14 pt bold).
Abstracts and keywords in two or three languages: Ukrainian (up to 100 words), English (200–250 words) and, if the article is written in another language, then in the language of the article. Width alignment, italics, Times New Roman 14 pt.
The main text of the article (one and a half line spacing, width alignment, indentation of the first line - 1.25 cm, font - Times New Roman: main text - 14 pt; margins: upper - 1.9 cm, lower - 1.9 cm., left - 1.75 cm., right - 1.75 cm). Image file format: Images must be saved in .jpeg format with a resolution of 300 dpi. They must be additionally sent in a separate file.
Bibliography (Chicago Style: Notes and Bibliography): Sources in the list should be arranged in alphabetical order (Times New Roman 14 Fri). The names of the sources are given in the original language.
Sources of illustrative material: by numbering, this list continues the list of references.
References (Chicago Style: Notes and Bibliography): the list is formatted according to the requirements (Chicago Style: Notes and Bibliography) with transliterated Cyrillic names (BGN (Board of Geographic Names) transliteration system. You can use automatic converters: http://translit.net/ ua/ – for the Ukrainian language. The English translation of the name is given in square brackets.
A hyphen (-) and a dash (–) should be clearly distinguished in the text.
Examples in the text are printed in italics, underlining is used to highlight individual elements in the examples.
References in the text are given in square brackets, for example, [11, p. 8], where the first number coincides with the serial number of the source in the bibliography; if it is necessary to indicate several sources, their numbers are separated by a semicolon, for example, [1; 5; 9].
Under the tables, there must first be a general signature, and then an explanation of all the numerical and letter designations available on them.
Requirements for articles are obligatory.
Copyright Notice
The author of the published article has the right to:
- use it for educational-methodical (high school) and scientific-theoretical purposes (writing a dissertation, publishing as part of a monograph, preparing reports at a conference, etc.);
- place its electronic version on open access web resources (personal web resources; in the electronic repository of the institution where the author works) with a mandatory reference to its first publication.

The telephone numbers indicated by the authors of the publications of this Journal are used exclusively for the purpose of fulfilling the internal technical tasks of this Collection and are not disclosed to third parties.
