FEATURES OF MODERN FRENCH PHRASEOLOGY: LINGUOCULTURAL AND LINGUISTICAL ASPECTS

The study is devoted to the peculiarities of modern French phraseology. Special attention is paid to linguistic cultural and linguistic stylistic aspects. It was found that a significant number of expressions, in addition to international expressions of the classical type and expressions with a transparent "internal form", have an intertextual basis, a national character and create problems of interpretation. A certain part has an identifier word, a colloquial synonym that conveys the same meaning, but the connotations are different.
It has been proven that the concepts of Art de vivre, Art de la table, and Vin, on which a significant number of phraseological units are based, are important for French linguistic culture. Universal concepts, such as the concept of Beauty, Health, Freedom, etc., have acquired special value for the French. Key words through which value concepts are verbalized are Feu, Eau, Cœur, Ame, etc. There are a large number of stereotypes associated with the names of animals, primarily such as Chien, Bœuf, Ane and others.
As for linguistic-stylistic and structural-functional features, one can name special constructions with presentatives, constructions-repetitions, negative, pleonastic, etc., which emphasize attention and strengthen the idea. Emphasis is placed on the existence of synonymous forms and expressions, in particular periphrastic ones. The brightness of the image, the expressiveness of the expression defines phraseology as a strong artistic tool. Many French expressions are original, which were later internationalized.
A feature of French phraseology is the presence of archaic syntactic constructions and lexical archaisms in most expressions. Numerous expressions had variant forms that eventually fell out of use. Modern media and artistic contexts allow violation of the structure of phraseology.
